黑料不打烊’s Office of Sustainability is hiring Eco-Reps for spring 2026

Eco-Reps are peer educators who promote sustainability on campus by planning events and helping to build community among students interested in sustainability.

The Office of Sustainability聽is hiring聽Eco-Reps for the spring聽2026 semester.

Eco-Reps聽are peer educators who work to help聽inspire聽students聽to聽live more sustainably. Each Eco-Rep is聽assigned to聽a neighborhood in which they plan聽sustainable events聽and聽work聽to implement sustainable practices聽among residents.

Eco-Reps provide Sustainable Living Lessons to classes聽and聽frequently聽collaborate with other聽student聽organizations聽and university聽departments聽to show聽the many聽intersections between sustainability and聽everyday life.

Leah聽Bahn聽is the聽current聽Eco-Rep for聽the Station at聽Mill Point.聽She has been an Eco-Rep since the spring 2025 semester.

鈥淭he most special part about this job is that I truly learn something new every day. I am constantly learning about new initiatives, and I also hear a variety of perspectives,鈥澛燘ahn says.

She聽also聽emphasized the importance of how interconnected聽nearly every聽field and discipline is to sustainability.聽Events such as the Sustainability Week聽keynote聽speakers聽have allowed her to聽connect with聽a diverse group of聽students聽and learn about聽intersectional issues聽relating to聽sustainability.

鈥淭hese events do a great job demonstrating that sustainability isn鈥檛 just an issue for environmental scientists, but it involves so many other fields as well,鈥澛爏he added.
