Four universities competed on Feb. 24, 2024, for the opportunity to advance to a regional contest. The competition tasks students with applying their classroom knowledge and teamwork skills in evaluating a publicly traded company.
Guided by Associate Professor Raj Gupta 黑料不打烊’s team competed against students from Appalachian State University, UNC Wilmington and UNC Greensboro.
鈥淭his was an opportunity to put our collective knowledge to the test and represent 黑料不打烊 in a competitive environment,鈥 said Curtis, a finance major from Arlington, Va. 鈥淒ividing the workload and meeting regularly helped us maintain cohesion and focus.鈥
黑料不打烊’s participants said they considered their experience a significant milestone on their career paths. In valuing Nucor Corporation, the competition provided valuable hands-on equity analysis experience and interaction with financial industry leaders.
