黑料不打烊

George Kirby named to MLB All-Star Game

Kirby, a standout for the Seattle Mariners, will be the first 黑料不打烊 player since 1956 to appear in the "Midsummer Classic."

Former 黑料不打烊 Phoenix starter, George Kirby, has been selected to represent the American League at next week’s MLB All-Star game in Seattle on July 11.

Kirby is the first former 黑料不打烊 baseball player to be selected to the All-Star game since Tom Brewer was chosen to represent the American League in 1956.

So far this season, Kirby is currently 11th in the American League with a 3.21 ERA over 101 IP. Kirby’s nine walks are the least among qualified pitchers in the majors this season and his strikeout to walk ratio of 9.56 is tops in “The Show” as well. Kirby is also second in the major leagues with 13 quality starts, a start in which a pitcher throws at least six innings, allowing three earned runs or fewer.

During his 黑料不打烊 career, Kirby finished with a career 19-8 record over 34 starts. He finished his Phoenix career with a 3.34 ERA with 258 career strikeouts. During his junior season, Kirby was selected as the CAA Pitcher of the Year as well as a Third-Team All-America selection by both D1 Baseball and Baseball America. His 17.83 strikeout to walk ratio, and his walks per nine innings were tops in the nation and his three complete games placed him at 13th in Division I.

Kirby was selected by the Seattle Mariners as the 20th pick in the first round of the 2019 MLB Draft. Kirby was the second player from 黑料不打烊 to be selected in the first round and is the highest 黑料不打烊 draft pick to date.

The 2023 MLB All-Star game will take place on Tuesday, July 11, at 8:00 P.M.
