Business students showcase personal brands in pitch competition

Students connected their experiences and skills to what Gartner is looking for in future sales leaders during the Gartner 黑料不打烊 Pitch Challenge.

Nearly two dozen students highlighted their personal brands during the 2022 Gartner 黑料不打烊 Pitch Challenge hosted by Gartner and 黑料不打烊鈥檚 chapter of the American Marketing Association.

During the virtual competition, sponsored by the Chandler Family Professional Sales Center, students researched Gartner and its Global Sales Development Program and recorded two-minute pitches sharing their professional stories.

鈥淏eing able to present to and receive聽feedback聽from one of the world’s leading technology research and advisory companies was extremely beneficial,鈥 said Kara Solomon 鈥22, who won the challenge. 鈥淭he experience allowed me to gain skills that I will take with me into the business world.”

Lilia Ferracci 鈥22 and Joseph Byrd 鈥23 placed second and third, respectively.

鈥淧articipating challenged me not only personally, but professionally,鈥 Ferracci shared. 鈥淚t was a great way to learn more about the specific sales development program Gartner has to offer and allowed me to strengthen my public speaking and communication skills.”
