Last year,聽many of聽黑料不打烊鈥檚聽regional alumni chapters embarked on a challenging time as they hosted virtual events to engage 黑料不打烊 alumni during聽the height of the pandemic.聽
On Saturday, July聽24,聽35聽chapter聽presidents gathered聽from聽across the country with staff from the Office of Alumni Engagement to聽celebrate聽the聽success of the past year, and to begin聽discussing聽strategies for planning regional events for this聽coming聽year with the hopes that many will be in person.聽聽

During the retreat, chapter presidents expressed their excitement for聽being back in some of their favorite venues and being able to聽socialize聽in聽person. Overall the regional chapters are optimistic about the year ahead and cannot wait to reconnect with fellow alumni in聽person.
After spending time with聽Brian Feeley,聽assistant vice president for annual giving and alumni engagement,聽discussing the strategy as we move into a busy fall, chapter leaders聽were聽given a moment to reflect on the opportunity of this year and聽to聽think through how to support newly relocated alumni in their areas.
鈥淕reat universities have聽great alumni聽bodies,鈥 Feeley聽said,聽reiterating the words of聽President Emeritus Leo M. Lambert as he charged alumni to lead into this year with a聽vivacious聽approach and to get creative.聽鈥淥ne common aspect of聽great alumni聽bodies is they all have leadership from within, dedicated volunteers like yourself.”
As the chapter presidents transition from聽virtual programming to in-person聽events, Welcome聽to the City will be their first focus as聽alumni聽chapter volunteers聽lean聽into the聽year ahead.
