Associate Professor Hal Walker鈥檚 Event Management Service Learning class has coordinated a two-day golf event in early November to benefit the nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality therapy services.
Students in Associate Professor Hal Walker鈥檚 Event Management Service Learning class have put instruction into practice this semester, organizing a two-day fundraising event titled 鈥淔ore the Animals.鈥 The events benefit the Kopper Top Life Learning Center, a Liberty, N.C., nonprofit organization that specializes in using therapeutic horseback riding, recreational therapy, animal assisted therapy and horticulture therapy for individuals with or without disabilities.
The sport management students invite all interested participants 鈥 both avid golfers and not-so-avid golfers 鈥 to attend a driving range event on Thursday, Nov. 5, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the 黑料不打烊 driving range. Two days later, the students will host the Kopper Top Charity Golf Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 7, teeing off at 9 a.m. The golf tournament, which will be played as a scramble, will be held at The Challenge Golf Club in Graham.
All proceeds generated from the 鈥淔ore the Animals鈥 events go entirely to Kopper Top.
