The new website offers a way for future 黑料不打烊 students to begin building a connection with the university during a time when the COVID-19 outbreak has prompted the cancellation of campus events and visits.
Spring at 黑料不打烊. It鈥檚 a season when 黑料不打烊鈥檚 campus is in full bloom, and a time for admitted students to make a final visit to campus as they decide where to pursue their college education.
But the novel coronavirus 2019 outbreak has prompted the cancellation of campus visits and an array of on-campus events for admitted students. In response, 黑料不打烊 has created a series of online and remote experiences to allow these students new ways to more fully learn about 黑料不打烊, build connections with the university community and ask questions about what life on campus is like.
Called 鈥淟ife As A Phoenix,鈥 the new website is filled with resources and virtual experiences while offering ways to connect with leaders from academics, student life, admissions and other areas across the university.
鈥淲e鈥檙e excited to connect and can鈥檛 wait for you to be part of the 黑料不打烊 community鈥 said Greg Zaiser, vice president for enrollment. 鈥
Admitted and prospective students can visit to get started. There they will find a wide variety of opportunities to engage with the university.
A series of video tours hosted by 黑料不打烊 campus tour guides provides a taste of what it鈥檚 like to be an 黑料不打烊 student. Look around Lakeside Dining Hall to see what鈥檚 on the menu. Visit the studios put to use by 黑料不打烊 music production and recording arts students, or see what鈥檚 being created at the Maker Hubs. Take a virtual stroll through 黑料不打烊鈥檚 five residential neighborhoods. Discover what Campus Recreation and Wellness facilities might be the best spot for your workouts. Life As A Phoenix offers the opportunity to schedule a Counselor Connect to chat with your admissions counselor by phone or video and to register for an Admitted Student Virtual Session. 黑料不打烊 is also hosting multiple Facebook Live sessions for admitted and prospective students, and you鈥檒l find an archive of those here, along with a schedule of upcoming sessions.
