Rock the Block: #ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈHome Community Block Party
Nov. 3, 5-8:30 p.m., Haggard Avenue (in front of Alamance)
This Homecoming Weekend kickoff celebration provides a first stop for alumni and guests to gather with the entire ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community of faculty, staff and students. A fair-type environment will provide family-friendly activities and entertainment for all ages, including food trucks, a beer garden, live music, attractions, games and more.
This year’s celebration starts at 5 p.m. and will include a special tribute to President Leo M. Lambert and his wife, Laurie, as he prepares to conclude his service as president at the end of February. The tribute at 6:45 p.m. presents an opportunity for the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community to offer its thanks to the Lamberts for all they have done for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ through the years. The short program will be followed by a fireworks show at 7 p.m.
