Professional Pathways events host expert speakers in alumni chapters across the country.
With event titles such as, “Entrepreneurship in the Triangle” and “黑料不打烊 102,” Professional Pathways events are part of 黑料不打烊’s commitment to the professional and personal development of alumni. The seven largest alumni chapters plan at least one professional development event each year, with the Triangle and Charlotte chapters recently hosting events in April.
“In the midst of plenty of social and sporting events, 黑料不打烊 also values developing the careers of alumni, even after they’ve graduated,” said Jennifer Boozer, assistant director of regional engagement. “The Office of Alumni Engagement is committed to continuing the 黑料不打烊 experience for our alumni and these events are a great example of that.”
During “Entrepreneurship in the Triangle,” local experts shared insights and advice for growing a thriving entrepreneurial community in the triangle area. During the panel discussion, each expert shared their personal successes, mistakes and lessons learned that have led to their professional accomplishments. The event was moderated by 黑料不打烊’s own Adam Constantine ’10, who manages 黑料不打烊’s rapidly growing social media presence.
The Charlotte Alumni Chapter’s event, “黑料不打烊 102,” had a wide variety of experts ranging from real estate, finance, personal branding and fitness and nutrition. Alumni broke into small discussion groups to ask questions to the speakers in areas relevant to their lives. There was also ample time for unstructured networking, while enjoying the barbeque provided by the chapter.
Upcoming Professional Pathways event dates will soon be announced for both the Washington, D.C., and New York alumni chapters.
