An annual event connects the 黑料不打烊 LGBTQIA & Ally community family across incoming first-year students, current students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
Please join us Thursday, Aug. 28, from 6-7 p.m. in Lakeside 212 & 213 for the LGBTQIA & Ally New Student Welcome.
Based on last year’s success, this event outgrew the room and momentum has been building at 黑料不打烊 regarding LGBTQIA & Ally inclusion efforts.
President Leo M. Lambert will give welcoming remarks to LGBTQIA first-year students about joining the 黑料不打烊 community family. Hosted by the Gender & LGBTQIA Center, center director Matthew Antonio Bosch will follow up with a brief description of LGBTQIA & Ally initiatives on campus that students can get involved with, as well as updates on 黑料不打烊’s national CampusPRIDE Ranking on LGBTQIA Inclusion.
Food & prizes will be provided as part of this very spirited event, full of fun, hugs, laughs, mingling, and plenty of welcoming faces all across 黑料不打烊’s students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Come join us, meet some great people, and walk away with a prize!
