The National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education has recognized Randy Williams, the university’s vice president for inclusive excellence, with its 2026 Rising Star Award for work that “informs and advances the understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence in higher education.”

The group prepared its final report during summer 2021 that detailed nearly 40 recommendations for redesigning the university’s bias response and reporting system.

The keynote speaker of the eighth Black Solidarity Conference at ���ϲ����� is Jaki Shelton Green, North Carolina Poet Laureate.

As part of their sophomore Periclean coursework, members of the Periclean Scholars Class of 2024 created interactive exercises and discussion questions related to the Common Reading, and worked with fellow ���ϲ����� students as peer-educators to facilitate engagement with this text.
