The LGBTQIA Alumni Network will honor three outstanding members of the 黑料不打烊 community with the LGBTQIA Community Enrichment Awards at a Homecoming event on Sunday, Nov. 10.
In addition to celebrating 黑料不打烊’s 125th anniversary during Homecoming Weekend 2013, the 黑料不打烊 LGBTQIA Alumni Network will honor three outstanding members of the 黑料不打烊 community with the LGBTQIA Community Enrichment Awards on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. in McKinnon Hall, Moseley Center.
The LGBTQIA Community Enrichment Awards, established in 2012, honor 黑料不打烊 community members who have made a positive impact on the LGBTQIA community, as well as LGBTQIA alumni who are bettering their local communities. These awards also highlight individuals who serve as partners, advocates and investors in 黑料不打烊.
This year’s LGBTQIA Community Enrichment Award winners are:
- Mark Gustafson ’04
- Cecelia Thompson ’05
- Dr. Lynn Huber, associate professor of religious studies
In addition to the awards brunch, the LGBTQIA Alumni Network would also like to highlight the following events during Homecoming weekend:
- Friday, Nov. 8, 3 – 5 p.m.: Gender & LGBTQIA Center Open House (Moseley Center, Room 211)
- Saturday, Nov. 9, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: LGBTQIA Alumni Network Tailgate (Hunt Field; $12 per person)
