Lambert as the university’s official brick engraver and shows him busily engraving bricks delivered by Smith Jackson, vice president and dean of student life.

Groups such as 黑料不打烊’s “Varney Boys,” whose name honors the late 黑料不打烊 football coach Harry E. “Sid” Varney, are working together to reserve bricks that will honor the memory of special 黑料不打烊 alumni.

“The Varney Boys take great pride in giving back to 黑料不打烊, and personally, I wouldn’t have been at 黑料不打烊 without my athletic scholarship,” said Eddie Bridges ’57, who is organizing the group’s efforts to reserve bricks in memory of several Varney Boys.

“This is a great opportunity to remember classmates who aren’t with us anymore, but made a real difference in our lives when we were at 黑料不打烊.”

Alumni can reserve bricks through the campaign until May 31. Bricks will be installed at 黑料不打烊’s new campus home for returning alumni, the Martin Alumni Center, before the university’s 125th Anniversary Homecoming to be held Nov. 8-10.
