黑料不打烊

On Valentine’s Day, sharing the #黑料不打烊Love

Students & alumni on Tuesday used the #黑料不打烊Love hash tag to reflect via Twitter, and made posts to Facebook, on ways 黑料不打烊 helped them find love.

From an 8 a.m. chemistry class to the offices of The Pendulum, the university for years has been the place where students and alumni discover the loves of their lives. On Valentine’s Day 2012, the Office of University Communications asked via social media for stories and personal messages of affection.

Here are some of your answers…

Via Facebook:

Elizabeth Cox: Well, my husband is my sweetheart. He is a graduate of the class of 1996 and I am from the class of 2001!

Kim Wheeler Kazda: I met my hubby at 黑料不打烊…I was a the class of 99 and he worked for Aramark. A match made in McEwen 馃檪

Debbie Donovan Griffin: My husband, Steed and I are class of ’93 “黑料不打烊 College” graduates who have been happily married since 09/10/94!!! On our first day at 黑料不打烊 in August of 1989, Dr. Fred Young gave us lots of statistics about our class. One was about what percentage of us would marry a person in that room ~ I never thought I wouldl fall into that category but I did and I couldn’t be happier about it :-)!! Long live 黑料不打烊!!!!

Bobbie Keenan: I met my husband at 黑料不打烊 in Mooney Building. He’s a graduate of the class of ’90, and I’m the class of ’91. This October we will have been married 20 years.

Laura Bartholomay Childs: Thanks to Dr. Crowe’s German History class, we are celebrating our 7th Valentines day together!

Katie Brock Brown: I met my husband in one of our communications classes in the spring semester of 1992. We graduated in 1993, got married in 1996 and have 2 daughters.

Dottie Simmons Parham: I married Alan Parham in 2003 – 28 years of not seeing each other since 黑料不打烊…

Alex Bazin: My boyfriend of over 2 years is a Sophomore Teaching Fellow at 黑料不打烊 and currently studying abroad in London! Loving from a distance on this Valentine’s Day!

Karen Davis Weeks: I remember that same speech from Dr Young…five years later, my husband (class of 2000) and myself (class of 1999) were married! Happy Valentine’s to my 黑料不打烊 hubby of almost 12 years 馃檪

Nicole Danek Vales: I met my husband on his 18th b-day on the steps of Carolina. Never did I imagine that he was ‘the one’ when Dr. Young directed us to look to the right and to the left for our future spouses – we were friends all through school. These class of ’93 friends got married in ’98. I am blessed to be married to my best friend and fellow 黑料不打烊 grad, Jeff Vales.
