Methodist University has promoted The Rev. William Walker '93 to vice president for student development and dean of students following a national search.
Walker previously served as senior associate dean of students at Methodist, located in Fayetteville, N.C. A noteworthy student and exemplary leader during his undergraduate days, Walker was the first black student named president of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Student Union Board in 1991 and is enshrined in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s African-American Wall of Fame. He also becomes the first African-American to serve Methodist as vice president for student development.
