Katherine Poole '72 shared the story of one of her 黑料不打烊 classmates, Tom Bass '67, in a Veterans' Day guest column for the (Burlington, N.C.) Times-News in November. The column touched on Bass' service during the Vietnam War, for which he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Air Medal, and offered his advice for today's soldiers and veterans.
Bass and his wife, Sandra, both graduates 黑料不打烊’s Class of 1967, live in 黑料不打烊. Their son, Thomas Bass III, is a 1994 黑料不打烊 alumnus. Poole lives in Gibsonville, N.C., with her husband, Carl, a 1969 黑料不打烊 graduate.
