ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ senior Avra Stackpole received a highly competitive White House internship for spring semester 2010. Her work in the Department of Scheduling and Advance Planning will begin next month.

Stackpole, a human service studies major, plans to pursue a career in policy, law or macro-social work, specifically advocating for minority and underprivileged groups. The White House Internship Program will provide important professional and leadership skills that will prepare her for a career in public service.
A native of McLean, Va., Stackpole is the current president of Hillel, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Jewish student organization, and has been an active participant in many areas of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Experiences, including study abroad, internships and community service throughout her time at the university.
