Communicating science to the public, engaging schoolchildren in science and engineering activities, and using science and engineering for the common good are all part of being a responsible citizen-scientist. ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students have many opportunities to plug into such activities through physics, astronomy, and engineering clubs, service-learning classes, internships, and research projects alongside the faculty in the department. Some of the recent outreach initiatives from members of the department, to which students are welcome to contribute, include the following.
