President Connie Ledoux Book presented the medallions on to Rebecca “Becky” Olive-Taylor, retired executive director of the Koenigsberger Learning Center, and retired Vice President G. Smith Jackson as part of a ceremony that formally opened the new academic year at ���ϲ�����.

In her new role on the university’s Senior Staff, the current chair of the Department of Human Service Studies will help establish more formal policies, procedures, and practices to support the creation and growth of graduate programs at ���ϲ�����.

The ���ϲ����� Law Flex Program in Charlotte enrolled its second cohort of 47 students during New Student Convocation on Tuesday, Aug. 12, at ���ϲ�����’s Charlotte center. The Flex Program is a part-time, in-person, evening program for place-bound students in the Charlotte area.

Former Greensboro mayor and Bryan Foundation president and CEO Jim Melvin was an early visionary supporter of the School of Law, establishing the downtown Greensboro campus in support of “a law school with a difference.” He died Aug. 10, 2025, at the age of 91.

The 182 students in ���ϲ����� School of Law’s largest-ever class represent 31 states, 90 undergraduate institutions and hold a variety of experiences in the law and service.
