Thirty-nine candidates in 黑料不打烊’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program received their degrees on Dec. 12, 2010, in an afternoon ceremony that featured an address from the creator of Evidence in Motion, a highly regarded education and business practice consultation company within the physical therapy profession.

The 黑料不打烊 Board of Trustees voted Oct. 22 to designate a 56-acre undeveloped tract north of University Drive as the 黑料不打烊 Forest, a dedicated land preserve and natural area. The action protects the largest remaining intact forest in the Town of 黑料不打烊 and safeguards thousands of species of plants, animals and other organisms.
Danieley C wins latest POWERless contest

黑料不打烊’s fourth annual POWERless Energy Competition concluded this month with students in Danieley Center C receiving top honors for reducing their building’s power usage by almost a third of what it consumed during a baseline measurement period.
Park Foundation awards grant for Periclean Scholars project

The New York-based Park Foundation has awarded the Periclean Scholars program at 黑料不打烊 a grant to send additional students abroad in January with the goal of producing a short documentary highlighting Sri Lanka’s outlook and actions on water issues, along with its ecological and socio-economic diversity. The film will be part of an environmental summit organized by the 黑料不打烊 students.

The annual national program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education this year focuses on Mexico, its people and its influence on American culture, politics and economy.

When it comes to closing a nearly $3 billion state budget shortfall for the next fiscal year, more than 6 in 10 North Carolinians support an increase in the sales tax by 1 cent per dollar spent, according to the latest 黑料不打烊 Poll. More than half of respondents – 56 percent – said they would oppose the elimination of state jobs to address the gap.
Grant from U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka assists Periclean Scholars

Periclean Scholars in the Class of 2011 have worked for three years to raise awareness of environmental issues in the nation of Sri Lanka, and in January, the group will host a national conference there with support from a $5,000 grant from the American Cultural Center run by the U.S. Embassy.
