Among medium-sized colleges and universities, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ ranked No. 16 for the number of Peace Corps volunteers it produced in 2017. Last year, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law launched a new fellows program to help returned Peace Corps volunteers become lawyers. 

The $34,000 grant is from the Colonial Academic Alliance, which seeks to link the colleges and universities that make up the Colonial Athletic Association. 

The annual celebration of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ athletics is organized by the Phoenix Club to raise money for student-athlete scholarships.

Carducci will provide academic leadership for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s newest graduate degree program, with the inaugural cohort to enroll in the full-time, two-year program this fall.

T. William "Bill" Morningstar Jr., who served under three ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ presidents as a coach across multiple sports, was honored at the 11th annual Night of the Phoenix. 

Barnett, associate provost for academic and inclusive excellence at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, was one of eight new directors named to the national organization’s board. 

The three winners from local middle schools were celebrated at a lunch event at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ on Friday, Feb. 9.

As a pilot outreach program, the School of Education is offering the full 12-credit AIG licensure to a group of 20 teachers in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School district.

The residential neighborhood now under construction on the former East Gym site will include three new buildings housing 309 students once it is complete in August 2018.
