Fifteen students were inducted into Sigma Delta Pi Chapter Rho Eta Hispanic Honor Society during a ceremony held on Tuesday, Nov. 12 in the Numen Lumen Pavilion’s McBride Gathering Space.

A Lumen Scholar and biochemistry major, Romano studied in Germany as an undergraduate before earning her medical degree from Eberhard Karls Universität in Tübingen, Germany.

The Department of World Languages and Cultures, in collaboration with Sigma Delta Pi Honor Society and Global Neighborhood, hosted Lula Carballo, a Canadian author whose family migrated to Canada from Uruguay, and Émilie Guerette, a Canadian documentary filmmaker.

This year’s theme, “The Many Faces of ���ϲ�����: On Campus & Beyond,” reflects the university’s commitment to broadening students' perspectives and enhancing global awareness through local, national, and international lenses.

The projects and programs span disciplines and include opportunities for community engagement, cross-cultural dialogue and interaction with ���ϲ����� alumni.

13 new members and two honorary members were inducted into the national French Honor Society, Pi Delta Phi.

Four members of the Class of 2024 and one member of the Class of 2023 have been selected for the prestigious program that offers opportunities for recent graduates in more than 140 countries. Five have been selected as alternates.

The WLC and Global Neighborhood hosted the second annual Global Vision Song Contest to embrace music from around the world!

Ketcham, a professor of exercise science, and Essary, a professor of Italian studies, will provide support for incoming ���ϲ����� College Dean Hilton Kelly when he joins the university administration on June 1.
