The week of April 23 through 28, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students, faculty and staff will be involved in activities to mark CELEBRATE! 2018, a celebration of student achievements. 

Sara Machi ’18 is among the recipients of the Lumen Prize, which provides selected students with a $15,000 scholarship and celebrates their academic and creative accomplishments. 

The Global Neighborhood featured conversations with student researchers and faculty mentors in the final House Dinner of the year.

Five faculty members and eleven undergraduate researchers from the Biology and Environmental Studies departments represented ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ at the Association of Southeastern Biologists conference at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on March 28-30, 2018.

This year marks 25 years since the launch of what has become the Spring Undergraduate Research Forum, an event that provides the opportunity for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students and faculty to showcase the in-depth research they are conducting across a broad range of disciplines. 

The Love Award for Excellence in Business Leadership provided the senior with an opportunity to pursue a research project focusing on the role venture capital networks play in determining a startup’s success.

Seniors Rachel Cockrell and Sarah Carpenter recently presented at the 19 annual meeting of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology in Atlanta.

Thirteen ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, March 2-4 for the Southeastern Commission for the Study of Religion (SECSOR), the annual regional meeting of the American Academy of Religion and the Society of Biblical Literature.  Six of the students presented undergraduate research mentored by professors from the Department of Religious Studies, while the other seven observed in preparation for presenting in the future.
