Led by Associate Professor Julie Lellis, nine students in the “Mindful America, Mindful ���ϲ�����” course traveled to Massachusetts during Winter Term to study how mindfulness is practiced and then bring those experiences back to campus.

The Winter Term course offering through the Study USA program at ���ϲ����� focuses on getting a firsthand look at the political process and learning from a broad range of professionals working in the nation's capital. 

More than 1,100 students, faculty and staff are participating this month in 44 programs on six continents. 

The new eight-week Study USA program features a core capstone course and an internship opportunity.

Republican John McConnell, former White House speechwriter for President George W. Bush, and Democrat David Halperin, former National Security Council speechwriter for President Bill Clinton, will offer their perspectives on this historical race on Oct. 4 and 5. 

���ϲ����� students, faculty and staff are invited to gather in the the Global Commons Great Hall at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, to watch coverage of the 2016 election.
