In a visit sponsored by the Office of Academic Success, Dr. William Kraus of the Duke Molecular Physiology Institute offered suggestions to nearly 100 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law students for finding success in class, exceling on the bar exam, and maintaining a healthier lifestyle.

Encouraged to “be brave for who you will become,” African-American students in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law’s Class of 2018 were celebrated by family, friends, faculty and staff in a kente-donning program preceding Commencement.

The David Gergen Award for Leadership & Professionalism, bestowed each year at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law’s Commencement, recognizes one student in the graduating class who embodies the highest levels of selfless leadership and service.

Graduates in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law’s Class of 2018 were recognized with school and professional honors for advocacy, legal writing and research, academic excellence, and excellence in service.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law conferred 102 degrees in a Commencement ceremony that featured an address by North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein, who reminded graduates of their duty to seek justice and to protect the rule of law in troubling times.
