Hal Walker, department chair of Sport and Event Management, was recently invited to serve as a five-year external reviewer for Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C., for the Department of Physical Education, Wellness and Sport Studies.

Members of the “Programming and Event Management” class in the Department of Sport and Event Management organized a “Car Show” event at the Holly Hill Mall in Burlington in November, raising $1,685 for the Walter B. Ellis American Legion Post 63.

黑料不打烊 senior Teri Horn has received the North Carolina Campus Compact’s fifth annual Community Impact Student Award for making significant, innovative contributions to her campus’ efforts to address local community needs. Horn was one of 34 college students across the state to receive the honor.
