The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduate won re-election for his position as treasurer after a strong vote of confidence this month at an assembly in Moscow.

Fourteen School of Communications alumni offered advice to current students about finding a job, succeeding on a professional level, and how their ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ experiences enhanced their careers.  

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduates Nicole Tolbert ’03 and Ryan Sweeney ’10 discussed their early career paths, how they established themselves in their respective fields, and the changing climate in media analytics. 

The School has organized a few events for alumni Oct. 16-18.

During National News Engagement Day, the school organized initiatives that encouraged students, faculty, staff and alumni to interact with the news.

Jonny Deaton’s award-winning film, "Joining the Conversation," highlights millennials and their knowledge of nuclear weapons and development. 

Kate Murphy ’15 contributed to a national multimedia reporting initiative in summer 2014 that investigated the issue of gun rights and gun legislation nationwide. 

Broadcast communications major Erin Barnett '09 served as second editor on "Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine," a recently released documentary directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney.

Simone Jasper ’16, Atoria Mills ’17, Jasmine Spencer ’11 and Zora Stephenson ’15 traveled to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in August to attend the National Association of Black Journalists’ annual convention.
