Public Health Studies Professor Cynthia Fair’s chapter appears in the 4th Edition of Psycho-Oncology.

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities to recent graduates in more than 140 countries, with approximately 1,900 grants awarded annually in all fields of study.

Alexis Moore, assistant professor of physician assistant studies, and Dr. Judy Esposito, associate professor of human service studies, presented research on the importance of teaching empathy and critical thinking skills to physician assistant (PA) students. Abstract co-authored with Dr. Cynthia Fair, professor of public health studies and human service studies.

The $7,500 Leadership Prize supports sustained, mentored and community-based research projects undertaken by ���ϲ����� undergraduates.

Six ���ϲ����� faculty from a variety of departments discussed the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol during “Reacting to the Insurrection at the Capitol,” a virtual panel discussion broadcast live to the ���ϲ����� community on Jan. 15.

The event will feature a discussion available at www.elon.edu/live between Hayes-Greene, co-founder and managing director of The Racial Equity Institute, Vice President and Associate Provost for Inclusive Excellence Randy Williams and Stephanie Baker, assistant professor of public health studies.

On Jan. 14, a multi-department faculty panel will reflect on the political, racial and historical significance of the recent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Griffin Barriss ’21, under the mentorship of Senior Lecturer in Public Health Studies Amanda Tapler, is conducting research with the Comprehensive Rural Health Project on a program addressing gender-based issues in Jamkhed, India.
