Students, faculty and staff shared their reactions to learning Monday that Dr. Connie Ledoux Book will serve as ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s ninth president.

Book, who will become ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's ninth president on March 1, was welcomed by the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community at a gathering in Alumni Gym on Monday, Oct. 9.

Hundreds gathered in Alumni Gym on Monday to hear from the President-elect and trustee leaders who elected her to serve as the university’s ninth president.

All members of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community are invited to a special presidential announcement event to welcome Connie Ledoux Book at 12:10 p.m. today, Monday, Oct. 9, in Alumni Gym.

Constance “Connie” Ledoux Book, provost of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and former ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ faculty member and administrative leader, has been elected the university’s ninth president.
