The trio of students participated in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's ROTC programs, which are offered in collaboration with N.C. A&T State University. 

Greg Sutton '14, who majored in political science and international studies while at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, will travel to Indonesia as part of a federal program that builds goodwill between the United States and people of other nations. 

The spring ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Poll also delved into issues including firearms on private property, the legal smoking age, climate change, HB2 and craft beer distribution.

N.C. voters also weighed in on whether the U.S. should accept refugees from Syria and the benefits of global economic engagement.

A panel of political science faculty will discuss the start of Donald Trump's presidency during a panel discussion on May 4 at 4:15 p.m.  in LaRose Digital Theatre.

The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Poll surveyed more than 500 N.C. voters about whether they viewed the president's use of Twitter as appropriate, and his claim that the media is the "enemy of the American people."

The survey conducted April 18-21, 2017, also found that N.C. voters oppose Trump tweets and border wall with Mexico. 

The university's top award comes with $15,000 to support and celebrate academic and creative achievements.

In her visit to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law for a Distinguished Leadership Lecture, Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas called for renewed pride in the United States as part of a larger strategy to address social and economic woes that have led to today's political climate.

Jason Husser, assistant professor of political science and director of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Poll, was recently a guest on Capital Tonight's "Bow Tie Caucus" and was interviewed for a segment by WFMY News 2 on a recently filed bill in the N.C. legislature.
