Briana Konecke '17, who majored in history with teacher licensure, is now serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Indonesia.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, which in March was named a top producer of Peace Corps volunteers, recently recognized 10 students who completed the Peace Corps Prep program along with those who will become Peace Corps volunteers following graduation. 

Among medium-sized colleges and universities, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ ranked No. 18 for the number of Peace Corps volunteers it produced in 2018.

His passion for community-based work and leadership roles while at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ helped prepare Kaufman for a meaningful Peace Corps experience.

The program has seen continued growth and success in recent years, with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ named as a top producer of Peace Corps volunteers by the service organization earlier this year. A fall kick-off celebration for the program will be held on Oct. 30.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ, which in February was named a top producer of Peace Corps volunteers, this week recognized five students who will be joining the government-sponsored service organization after graduation. 

Among medium-sized colleges and universities, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ ranked No. 16 for the number of Peace Corps volunteers it produced in 2017. Last year, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law launched a new fellows program to help returned Peace Corps volunteers become lawyers. 

The Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program will provide financial aid and public interest residency-in-practice placements to as many as two returning Peace Corps volunteers who enroll at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law each year beginning in 2018.

The newest class of Peace Corps members will dedicate more than two years to serving communities around the globe. The students were recognized with a reception in the Student Professional Development Center on Tuesday.
