The Martha and Spencer Love School of Business welcomed students, alumni, and industry partners for Business Analytics Summit, a hands-on showcase of how data turns into decisions.

Shiva Kommareddi of Accenture was the first guest in a program launched this fall by the Center for Organizational Analytics.

Professor Crista Arangala from the Department of Mathematics & Statistics will oversee a new program designed to teach data competency through campus centers and academic programs that support student learning and faculty development.

As attendees learned at a conference hosted by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Center for Organizational Analytics, career opportunities abound for those who are interested in solving analytical problems using health care data sets.

Prominent researchers and industry experts will visit ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ on March 31 to share insights on the impact of data and analytics on clinical practice, healthcare operations and delivery, and pandemic responses.

The event sponsored by SAS, the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Center for Organizational Analytics and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics brought together national and regional speakers to share their expertise and knowledge. 

Cindy Fair, Tony Crider, Haya Ajjan and Jean Rattigan-Rohr shared their innovative scholarship, insights into teaching and approaches to community engagement at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Talks: Faculty Voices.

Planning Week marks the start of the academic year and provides an opportunity for faculty receiving funding from the Faculty Research and Development Committee to present their work.  

The associate professor’s session focused on the value of collecting data for the purpose of recognizing patterns in the retail and point-of-service business.

Participants learned from industry experts how to turn business analytics into profitable insights.
