Inspired by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's commitment to scholarship funding, retired faculty member Nancy Midgette, of Montreat, North Carolina, decided to support students in the Odyssey Program with her gift.

The Sam and Vicky Hunt Scholarship will assist two students each year in the Odyssey Program, a highly selective program for students with exceptional ability and promise and significant financial need.

Furman Moseley '56 created the Odyssey Program scholarships for women with outstanding promise in 2007 to honor his wife, Susan. The university awards four Susan Scholarships each year. 

The new scholarship gifts and commitments announced by President Leo M. Lambert and a group of key university volunteers on Friday come from seven inspired donors.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Odyssey Scholars share a bond that carries them through the campus experience and into successful lives after graduation.

Bridgette Agbozo ’19 will study this summer at the University of Bristol through the program sponsored by the U.S.-U.K. Fulbright Commission. 

On Wednesday, March 22, the Atlanta Alumni Chapter and Odyssey students came together for a LifELONg Learning event at the Center for Civil & Human Rights.

Three other ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students were selected to present undergraduate research projects to the Southeastern Commission on the Study of Religion.

Edward and Joan Doherty of Saddle River, New Jersey, have made a gift to provide scholarships for talented scholars who need financial assistance.

The National Campus Compact named freshman class president Kenneth Brown as one of 218 Newman Civic Fellows across the nation.
