Stephen A. Futrell, chair of the Department of Music, has been invited to serve as a panelist for the North Carolina Arts Council Arts & Audiences Grants Panel.

Joseph Kalichstein, a renowned musician whose piano performances have garnered international accolades, will perform classical works in a March 12 campus performance as part of the Adams Foundation Recital Series sponsored by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and the (Burlington, N.C.) Times-News.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ music majors Jacob Danieley and Kaitlyn Fay have been named finalists in the 12th Annual John Lennon Scholarship Songwriting Program, a national contest established in 1997 by Yoko Ono, Lennon's widow, and the BMI Foundation.
