An independent historian of technology, George Dyson will speak April 10 in LaRose Digital Theatre in the Koury Business Center through the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar Program. 

Jennifer Nunez, assistant professor of biology, shares how inclement weather inspired her to integrate the Maker Hub into her course assignments with overwhelming support from her students. 

Kyle Altmann,  associate professor of physics, shares how he uses the Maker Hub to teach his students the importance of making in and out of the classroom.

Teaching and Learning Technologies staff members, Dan Reis and Michael Vaughn, represent ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's Maker Hub at two international conferences and share the important role making can play in education.

Shan Roy, a first-year ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ student from Mooresville, N.C., recently talked with the Mooresville Tribune about his projects.

Maker Hub will be open normal hours during exam week and offer limited hours over winter break. 

The university's second makerspace is located on the third floor of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Town Center on North Williamson Avenue and hosted a grand opening celebration on Thursday, Oct. 19. 

The maker hub, the university's second, features a new variety of tools for makers along with twice the space as ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's first maker hub in Colonnades.

The new space on the third floor of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Town Center on North Williamson Avenue is hosting an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24.
