In collaboration with UNC professor Lucinda Austin, the School of Communications faculty member and strategic communications major examined corporate social advocacy and political activism through the case of DICK’s Sporting Goods and the company’s recent stance on gun control reform.

More than 50 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ undergraduates were joined by several from other colleges and universities participated this summer in SURE, one of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's signature undergraduate research opportunities. 

The university's top award comes with $20,000 to support and celebrate academic and creative achievements. 

An ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ senior, an alumnus and a current staff member have each been selected for the NSF's Graduate Research Fellowship program, which will support their work toward graduate degrees in STEM fields. 

Research from two School of Education faculty, four current students and one alum was presented at the American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting in New York City.
