The ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Wake Forest University Angell Center for Entrepreneurship co-hosted the 2nd annual University Entrepreneurship Summit of North Carolina in the Winston-Salem, N.C. on November 4.

R. Casey Olson, executive vice president of Occidental Petroleum, will discuss his experience working in the Middle East during a presentation on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 4:15 p.m. in the LaRose Digital Theatre of the Koury Business Center.

Entrepreneurship students participated Oct. 29 in The Indus Entrepreneurs of Carolina’s (TiE) networking event at the Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, N.C. The students networked with approximately 60 high growth and technology entrepreneurs as part of their Entrepreneurship Skills course taught by Gary Palin, executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership.

Matt Davis, a May 2009 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduate, presented a research paper on Nov. 1 at a scholarly conference of the Mid-Atlantic Region of the Association for Asian Studies at Villanova University.

Teams can now register for the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Innovation Challenge, a creativity competition for college students in North Carolina held in conjunction with Stanford University's Global Innovation Tournament that will students to solve a common problem in about eight days while creating as much value as possible.

Beta Alpha Psi is sponsoring a Graduate School Forum on Tuesday November 3, at 7:00 pm in the LaRose Digital Theatre of the Koury Business Center.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ graduate Trey Bailey '02 and his wife Marci were guest speakers in a Marketing Princples class taught by Dr. Michael Rodriguez. Trey, an LSB alum, is the owner of Bailey's Fine Jewelry.

Twenty-five students from David Jackson's Entrepreneurship class and Maggie Miller's Marketing class visited prominent advertising firm McKinney in Durham on October 27.
