Senior sales students Sarah Doggett and Jeff Allen participated in the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC), held March 5-8 at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Traveling with the students were Love School of Business professor Michael Rodriguez and Earl Honeycutt, professor and director of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Chandler Family Center for Professional Sales.

Gary Crittenden and Steve Young of Huntsman Gay Global Capital spoke about entrepreneurship and navigating difficult economic circumstances in McCrary Theatre on March 15. Their talk was hosted by ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s Student Entrepreneurial Enterprise Development (SEED) organization in association with the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business.

Neeraj Gupta and Wonhi Synn, finance professors in the Love School of Business, recently had their paper, “Valuing Investments Decisions: Flotation Costs and Capital Budgeting,” published in the Journal of Business and Economics Research (2010, Vol. 8).

The Love School of Business will host David Childers as its 2010 Business Ethics Speaker on Thursday, March 11, at 4:30 pm in LaRose Digital Theatre. The event is open to all ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students, faculty, and the community. A reception will follow his presentation.

Kerrii Brown Anderson ’79, former chief executive officer of Wendys International, shared lessons from her storied career as the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business’ annual Legends of Business speaker on March 4. Anderson encouraged the overflow crowd in LaRose Digital Theatre to seize opportunities, embrace change, give back to the community and cultivate excellent communication skills to succeed in today’s business environment.
