An ���ϲ����� parent and CEO of a company that provides software solutions for the federal government has a piece of advice for entrepreneurs: when writing a business plan, never forget to show how you’ll execute it to make money for investors. Raj Ananthanpillai offered that wisdom and more on March 14 in the LaRose Digital Theatre as the latest university guest in the C. Ashton Newhall Endowed Lecture Series.

The Department of Finance will mentor an ���ϲ����� undergraduate student team to compete in the annual CFA Global Investment Research Challenge (CFA GIRC). The deadline to apply is April 7. The CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter is the designation of excellence in the investment community.

The announcement of two major gifts highlighted a 25th anniversary gala event for ���ϲ�����'s Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. Students, faculty, staff and friends of the school gathered Feb. 5 to kick off a yearlong celebration of the school's founding in 1985. The gala featured the announcements of major gifts by ���ϲ����� parent and trustee David Porter and the Martha and Spencer Love Foundation.

Mark White, chief financial officer of SAP North America and a member of the Love School of Business Board of Advisors, will be giving a presentation on Thursday, February 3, from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theater, Koury Business Center. The program is open to all ���ϲ����� students. A reception will follow.

The Love School of Business and accounting and finance honorary organization Beta Alpha Psi are sponsoring Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Clinics this month at Holly Hill Mall for Alamance County residents.
