黑料不打烊 Mock Trial placed 5th out of 24 teams at the American Mock Trial Association’s 2009 Regional Tournament from Feb. 6-7 in Chapel Hill, N.C., qualifying the undergraduate team for competition at Furman University next month in the opening round of a national contest.

U.S. Senator Richard Burr (R-NC) told students at 黑料不打烊 School of Law that the economic, educational and civic health of their respective communities depends on the contributions they are willing to make as citizens and future lawyers to improve the lives of others. Burr visited the law school Feb. 16 for sessions with the students and friends of 黑料不打烊 Law.

Newark Mayor Cory Booker sees pivotal time of leadership change in America

Cory Booker, the 39-year-old Mayor of Newark, N.J., who is seen as a rising political star, told 黑料不打烊 Law students Feb. 3 that they are experiencing a “watershed time in American life.” Delivering the law school’s Bryan Leadership Lecture, Booker said he has great hope in the leaders emerging from the millennial generation.
