"Teaching Law for Engaged Learning," is a one-day conference for new and experienced legal educators interested in developing as teachers. The conference will take place on April 10, 2010, at the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law.

On Thursday, January 14 at 6 pm, approximately two weeks prior to the 50th anniversary of the historic Greensboro sit-ins of the American civil rights movement, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law, in association with the law school's Black Law Students Association and Phi Alpha Delta chapter, will host its second annual Martin Luther King, Jr. forum to explore legal aspects of the American civil rights movement, evaluating the impacts of the sit-ins and other forms of non-violent protest on civil rights law past and present.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law professor Henry Gabriel recently presented a paper on the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Law at the Conference on International Dispute Resolution in Sydney, Australia, sponsored by Federal Courts of Australia.

On Saturday, January 16, from 10 am to 12 pm, the admissions office of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law will host the YMCA of Greensboro's Black and Hispanic Achievers Program for a discussion of law school admissions, state government, the state judicial system, and opportunities in the legal profession.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law's Distinguished Practitioner in Residence, Karol K. Sparks, has completed the 2010 edition of the book Insurance Activities of Banks, offered each year with updates and supplements by Aspen Publishers since Sparks originally authored the book in 1998.
