On Saturday, March 12, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law's Women's Law Association (WLA) held its third annual Barbara Sullivan Race for Women's Health. Each year, WLA holds this race to raise awareness for issues affecting women's health and to raise money for organizations that fund research for those issues.

During the month of March, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law's largest student organization Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) gave back to the Greensboro community through fundraisers aimed at raising money and awareness for Housing Greensboro.

On March 10, the Jewish Law Students Association (JSLA) at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law presented a special lunchtime conversation with Rabbi Eli Havivi from Congregation Beth David in Greensboro.

On March 9, Dr. Linda Morris, former Chief of Staff of the Martinsburg VA Medical Center, discussed innovations in health care and legal issues within the health care industry with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law students. The roundtable was led by Samantha Gillman, '11, and Phillip Clontz, '12, both externing with the Office of Veterans' Affairs Regional Legal Counsel in Winston-Salem, NC.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law professor of legal education Marty Peters presented at the second Asian Mediation Association Conference, held Feb. 24 and 25 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The conference covered topics in mediation related to employment law and family law among other topics.

On March 8, the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law student organization, Outlaw, held a seminar titled "The Importance of Same Sex Partnership Agreements in Light of Boseman." Family law attorney Rebecca Perry discussed Boseman v. Jarrell, a recent North Carolina case that decided whether an adoption decree granting the non-parent in a same sex relationship parental rights was valid after the relationship dissolved.
