For the ninth consecutive year, ���ϲ����� Law’s entering class volunteered across Greensboro as part of orientation week. On Aug. 8, members of the 2015 entering class prepared meals for disabled veterans, supported a nonprofit homeless services organization, developed a clothing pantry for children in need, enhanced a local playground and assisted in construction of affordable housing. 

The entering class at ���ϲ����� Law engaged in hands-on learning throughout orientation week, August 4 to 7, contributing to the launch of the school’s groundbreaking new approach to legal education. 

���ϲ����� spotlights the summer work experiences and professional insights of law students in part two of a two-month weekly series.   

In an ���ϲ����� Law Now commentary, Professor Antonette Barilla reports from Europe about growing concern across the continent over the evolving strategy to address the Greek debt crisis and the viability of the European Union.

Delivering the Call to Honor at ���ϲ����� Law’s new student convocation on August 5, U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx told students that they can use the law to benefit society and improve the lives of their fellow citizens. 

���ϲ����� Law's 2015 enrolling class of 132 ���ϲ����� Law students is 18 percent larger than last year's class and selected from an applicant pool 16 percent higher than 2014, indicating a strong endorsement of the school's groundbreaking new curriculum.

On the 50th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, the Leadership Program is sponsoring a viewing of the film Selma, followed by discussion led by law students and alumni about current issues in election law. All members of the ���ϲ����� Law community are invited to attend.

���ϲ����� Law’s fifth annual Immigration Law Seminar featured nationally prominent lawyers, scholars and federal agency leaders exploring cutting-edge issues in immigration law. 

The dangers of growing secrecy in government, for instance new North Carolina legislation to keep death penalty chemical compounds confidential from the public, forms the focus of ���ϲ����� Law Professor David Levine's latest blog post for Princeton University's Center for Information Technology Policy (CITP).
