As the latest recipient of the Northwestern University Sports Division 1 Fellowship, Zac Ormond G’23 will benefit from “a training ground and model for the specialized practice of sports physical therapy at the division I collegiate athletics level in the 21st century.”

The associate professor and alum of ���ϲ�����’s Department of Physical Therapy Education received the award at the 2025 American Physical Therapy Association Combined Meeting.

The National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation recognized School of Health Sciences leaders for a “commitment to providing quality nursing education” by meeting five standards that guide the accreditation process. 

Through a new partnership, the Human Services Studies students worked alongside local families, running a camp-style activity center for children on their school holidays.

The ���ϲ����� Board of Trustees met on Feb. 20 and granted tenure and approved promotions for several faculty members.

The Department of Physical Therapy Education once again made its presence felt at the prestigious American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting in February 2025 in Houston with 12 presentations.

The professor of physical therapy education was awarded the Distinguished Scholar Award, ���ϲ�����’s top faculty research award, in spring 2024.

Associate Professor Cathy Quay, chair of ���ϲ�����’s Department of Nursing, has been appointed to a committee that evaluates nursing program applications to a worldwide accreditation body.
