The annual lavender graduation honors LGBTQI and Ally graduating seniors, as well as students, faculty and staff who have advanced inclusion, support and education around LGBTQIA identities at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ.

This annual event is a year-end celebration for all LGBTQI and ally students, faculty and staff. Graduating seniors will be honored during the dinner, and achievements in LGBTQIA inclusion at ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ will be recognized.

More than 30 students, alumni and staff gathered March 11 for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ’s second annual LGBTQIA career panel.

The associate professor of English and coordinator of the university's African & African-American Studies program proposed, organized, chaired and presented research in Black female resistance with ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ senior strategic communications major Raven Bennett.

LGBTQIA alumni return for this annual program on helping LGBTQIA students and employees navigate their professional careers and personal identities.

Join the fireside chat in the McBride Gathering Space of the Numen Lumen Pavilion about ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's efforts to create an inclusive campus and disrupt bias and hate in our community. 

MIMA SIMIĆ: Croatian writer, film critic, activist, media personality, and Croatian LGBT person of the decade.  Mima will talk on "LGBT Politics and Activist Strategies of Media Subversion,” discussing how she and other activists and organizations have used strategies of media subversion to affect public and social attitudes on homosexuality and gender in Croatia. Katherine McFarland Bruce, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ visiting assistant professor of sociology, will join Mima and compare and discuss LGBT activism in the United States, specifically the South.

Three outstanding members of the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ community were honored with the LGBTQIA Community Enrichment Awards during an event Nov. 10 in McKinnon Hall.

The constitutional law expert will argue in McCrary Theatre of the dangers in someone downplaying his or her differences based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion and disability in order to fit into American society.
