The French and international and global studies double major works with the International Organization for Migration in Burundi, a U.N. agency that supports migrants of all kinds. In the face of COVID-19, her duties have shifted to crisis communication and response in the East African nation.

Pankaj Rishi Kumar will be on campus Wednesday, Oct. 2, to give a talk and screen his documentary film.

On Wednesday, March 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., faculty members from the Department of World Languages and Cultures will be available in the Carlton Commons live and via email (languages@elon.edu) to answer student, staff and faculty questions about language majors and minors, area studies programs and global engagement opportunities.

Sophie Adamson, associate professor of French and chair of the Department of World Languages and Cultures, presented at the annual conference of the Foreign Language Association of Teachers of French in Durham, N.C.

 

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ hosted students and faculty from ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ and regional universities at its third annual Undergraduate Conference on Languages and Cultures on Saturday, Sept. 22.

French faculty members Sophie Adamson, Patti Burns, Olivia Choplin, and Sarah Glasco represented ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's French program at the 91st annual convention of the American Association of Teachers of French.
