The Department of Environmental Studies has created an additional major, and a new minor, for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students with an academic or career interest in the fields of sustainability, wildlife ecology and conservation.

Environmental Studies assistant professor Josh Kapfer recently co-authored a manuscript published in the Journal of Zoology titled "Modeling the relationship between habitat preferences and home-range size: a case study on a large mobile colubrid snake from North America."

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ leaders on Monday formally announced the names of four distinguished professors named to endowed professorships. Eric Fink, Roland Smith, Brant Touchette and Catherine McNeela were recognized during the opening ceremony for Planning Week 2010.

Janet MacFall presented a paper on the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Sustainability Faculty Scholars Program at the annual meeting of the Ecological Society of America in Pittsburgh, Pa. Co-authors are Peter Felten, Elaine Durr and Michael Strickland.
