A cutting-edge collaboration between the Music Theatre Program and the Department of Engineering creates a first for ���ϲ�����’s stage and provides opportunities for students to grow knowledge and skills beyond their disciplines.

Rocket Phoenix, ���ϲ�����’s rocket club, is back this year bringing in more than just STEM majors to launch their ideas.

Jessica Gisclair, Brian Pennington, Will Pluer and Stacey Thomas have embarked on the program, which helps faculty build expertise in leadership education and integrate it into a coming class.

With team members hailing from Jordan, Cambodia, Brazil and Colombia, their collaboration showcased the power of global perspectives in solving complex problems.

The five annual awards acknowledge excellence in teaching, mentoring, scholarship and service-leadership among faculty and staff in ���ϲ����� College, the College of Arts and Sciences.

Ayesh Awad '24, Pagnapech Ngoun '26, Murilo Ferreira Lopes '27, Nicolas Alvarez '27 and five faculty Emily Elrod, Kristen Mazur, Brittany Riggs, Hwayeon Ryu and Aaron Trocki presented at MathFest, the annual meeting of the Mathematical Association of America on August 7-10, 2024 in Indianapolis.

A materials testing study being piloted at ���ϲ����� in collaboration with Duke University’s Center for WaSH-AID, Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH Company and Triangle Environmental Health Initiative was featured in the July-August edition of International Filtration News.

With support from the Kernodle Center for Civic Life, students in over 42 courses across disciplines worked with local community partner organizations. Below, ten students of varying majors share experiences from community-based learning courses this spring.

The projects and programs span disciplines and include opportunities for community engagement, cross-cultural dialogue and interaction with ���ϲ����� alumni.

Six teams of engineering majors presented the results of prototyping and design work in the Senior Projects in ���ϲ����� Engineering Design program, a yearlong partnership between ���ϲ����� students and regional businesses and organizations.
