School of Communications students Sarah Stone ’19 and Emery Eisner ’22 visited The Burlington School on April 29, reflecting on their experiences serving on the yearbook staff and offering insights on how their college publication comes together.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ was named PRWeek’s 2019 Outstanding Education Program and was celebrated at the PRWeek Awards dinner and presentation on March 21 in New York City.

As ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ hits the midpoint of its semester and heads into spring break, community members will likely head home, maybe travel, certainly relax and – undoubtedly – stream content. Thanks to the School of Communications’ new channel available on Roku devices, ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ-produced content has never been more accessible.

Contest winners will be announced at the Society of Professional Journalists Region 2 conference April 6 in Ocean City, Maryland.

Accompanied by faculty members Hal Vincent and Ben Hannam, 17 ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ students attended the Triangle AdFed’s 2019 American Advertising Awards Gala held Feb. 21 in Raleigh. Among those in attendance was Kerry Sheehan-Delany ’19, who was recognized for her food photography contest entry.

In partnership with the PR Council, the School of Communications hosted its PR Agency Careers Diversity and Inclusion Panel Discussion on Feb. 25. The wisdom session and ensuing networking reception featured strategic communications and human resources executives from W20 Group, Ketchum, Weber Shandwick, Taylor Global, FleishmanHillard, Finsbury and EP+Co.
