Virginia attorney Robert J. Grey Jr. will offer wisdom to graduates on May 20, 2017, in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law’s final springtime Commencement as the school fully transitions to its new 2.5-year curriculum.

In his Commencement address to ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ School of Law’s Class of 2016, Judge Albert Diaz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit encouraged graduates to use their legal education to help "reason, law, and precedent triumph over might, caprice, and whim."

Graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2016 will take place inside Alumni Memorial Gymnasium on Saturday, May 21.

ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law's 2016 Commencement ceremony will feature Judge Albert Diaz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. 

The first African American to serve on the Supreme Court of North Carolina will visit campus on May 20 to address graduating students and their families.

Delivering the commencement address for ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law’s 105-member Class of 2014, University of North Carolina president Thomas W. Ross, Sr., urged the class “to serve and to lead for the common good.”

Brian Park is the 2014 recipient of ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Law’s highest honor for a graduating student, the David Gergen Award for Leadership and Professionalism.
